the Body Holiday Resort St. Lucia

A few years ago Jack and I wintered in Cap Estate, Gros-Islet, Saint Lucia at a private villa. Like we normally do, we joined a fitness facility for the duration of our stay. The gym at Le Sport – The Body Holiday was right down the road and had everything we needed.

The Body Holiday is a 5-star resort, rated #4 Best Spa in the world.

Their slogan:“GIVE US YOUR BODY FOR A WEEK AND WE’LL GIVE YOU BACK YOUR MIND”

This year, we took the pleasure of staying at The Body Holiday for a “spa-all” inclusive vacation before moving on to our winter destination of St. Thomas.

After 14 days of:

1) all we could eat
2) all we could drink
3) all the fitness classes we could handle
4) all day, every day water sports
5) a spa treatment per day

we left feeling brand new and ready to tackle the world.

How is it even possible to feel:

a) rested
b) relaxed
c) revitalized
d) rejuvenated
all at the same time?

At le Sport – the body holiday – this was not only possible, it was inevitable!

The Body Holiday is the ideal vacation destination for EVERYONE – from 18 to 80.

We met many guests who return each year, some were on their 9th body holiday. While this is not a singles resort specifically they do have a great singles supplement. In fact, we just recommended this destination to a friend of ours and are super excited for him. Not only is there so much to enjoy, the other guests are friendly and welcoming. They have dinners together, plan excursions and as we witnessed, have an amazing time.

Jack and Carrie’s Picks

Best room type – Grand Luxury Ocean Front room. It features a king-size bed, a state-of-the-art bathroom with a stand-alone soaking tub, separate shower and marble vanity, and a balcony overlooking the sea plus indoor sitting area.

Preferred Room location – at the far end of the resort, away from the restaurant and bar area. We had a lovely view of Cariblue Beach and Pigeon Island. From our balcony, we would watch the local fisherman in the bay while enjoying our morning coffee. Well, at least on the mornings when I wasn’t at beach boot camp!

Most of our time at le Sport however, is spent outdoors – so I’d be just as happy to sleep in one of the hammocks!

Tip: consult the resort map to make sure you get your desired location.

Best restaurantTao. A la carte dining, great views, ambiance and menu. Reservations required. Dietary restrictions or preferences are not a problem at the body holiday and the food ranges from ultra healthy to ultra indulgent.

Favorite fitness activity – beach boot camp

They also offer a variety of health consulting services at an additional charge. Ask for Dr. Samantha.

Best advice when booking inclusive treatments – don’t book the FAR Infrared therapy as your daily inclusive treatment. The FAR Infrared room, with 8 chairs is available to use any time of the day. We went every day. It’s a great detox and let me tell you, it was much appreciated!

Don’t miss out

Book your treatments in advance to make certain you get what you want. Going on an excursion for the day? You can double up on your treatments another day.
